Community Outreach for Students in Education

Campus Y offers multiple opportunities for education, mentorship, and advocacy.
City Faces is a program run by WashU students that works with children, teenagers, and young adults living in the Clinton-Peabody public housing neighborhood in St. Louis.
Learning Center services are designed to mentor students, help them develop the life-long skill of “learning how to learn,” to facilitate their ability to excel in their coursework, and to stimulate independent thinking through persistent coaching.
Gephardt offers numerous service-learning opportunities, including Books and Basketball, K-12 Connections, and Hawthorn InvestiGirls.
Members International Honor Society in Education take part in service projects.
Niños Cambios Puertas Volunteer Program was founded in 1996 to provide tutoring and mentoring to Latino youth in St. Louis.
Out of the Blue is a WashU community service group committed to promoting childhood literacy.
TESLA mobilizes college students to establish dynamic after-school clubs for for underserved youth to build STEAM literacies and critical thinking capacity through hands-on challenges.
Teach English is a Second Language Learning Club that pairs undergraduate tutors with other undergraduate students, graduate students, and university employees to help them improve their English.
